Who am I? Who is Peter Lindberg?Me, myself and I, Peter Lindberg the photographer operates out of Gothenburg (Göteborg), Sweden. Brought up on a mix of cracker-bread, milk and pancakes and a mix of influences from comics like Valerie & Laurien (sci-fi), cinematic masterpieces from geniuses like Kubrik and Wender I early on in my photographic career fell for the magic of the night, of sun through dirty windows. I burn for fashion photography and introvert photographic art. I don’t expect other people to understand my more artsy stuff but I am sure my fashion and portrait images are liked by many.
My photography got a much clearer direction in 1996 when I got accepted into the General Studies in Photography Program at ICP (international Center of Photography) in New York City. NYC being such a boiling pot of influences, important art- and photography-figures, it became an eye-opener changing my living-environment from the somewhat rural cities of Sweden to the true metropolis NYC. Here focus soon came onto the three main channels of my photography I still hold dearest: fashion, portraits and a mix photodocumentary and art-photography.
Do not be mistaken though: I indulge in pretty much any kind of assignment with the same enthusiasm. Meaning you can throw me pretty much any photographic bone and I will consider it as long as the money is decent. Just ask! 🙂
Why Peter Lindberg?
If you want fashion photography with a feel of romance, dreams and with a slight sense of surrealism, then Peter Lindberg is your man. With cues from cinema photography spiced up with the inside of my hyperactive image-creating mind I will create something unique just for you. Involve me from the start and we will have something far beyond anyones expectations. Go ahead. Take the leap. Do it.
If you as a client will allow me the time needed I will try get to know the subject enough to create something special, showing your subject in a way not usually shown. I will use ideas connected to who the subject is and do to visually illustrate his/her persona.
Most ads and advertising images are plain. Too plain. Too simple. I believe the viewer (customer) needs a little bit of a challenge. Involve me in the creative process on an early stage and I will take your ideas a bit further, and maybe even turn it all on its head and bring you a completely different idea. Maybe not what you originally want, but surely what you need!
